“Self-knowledge is no guarantee of happiness, but it is on the side of happiness and can supply the courage to fight for it.”
-Simone de Beauvoir
Individual and Couple’s Therapy
Therapy is a dedicated time where a person or couple can process thoughts and feelings, practice new ways of coping and learn more about themselves and their relationships.
I specialize in life’s existential issues - topics that one may need professional help with such as uncertainty, grief, identity, anxiety, meaning-making or chronic pain. I work with people with a variety of conditions.
My clients often report feeling relief and greater positive emotion after even just a few sessions.
I provide human care and deep listening, grounded in evidence-based, trauma-informed practice. I have a relational and experiential counseling style, creating a space where a person can think, feel and and slow down.
I am trained in motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT) and contemporary psychodynamic approaches - always rooted in attachment neuroscience and real human connection.
I also use somatic therapies, including pain reprocessing therapy (PRT), to improve quality of life via the mind-body connection.
I serve Massachusetts, Connecticut, Virginia and Maryland teens, young adults, mid-life adults and elders from all walks of life. Telehealth visits are convenient, easy to use and HIPAA-secure.
If you are working on your relationship, ask me about couple’s therapy.
Accessible daytime and evening sessions available.
